In a few simple steps, you will be ready to film. - Attach the dual cold shoe accessory mount to the phone mount, then attach the phone mount to the tripod - Attach the MicroLED light and microphone (in its shock mount) to the dual cold shoe accessory mount - Secure your smartphone in the phone mount and use the coiled cable to connect the microphone to your phone (TRS plug into the microphone, TRRS plug into the phone) - Turn on the MicroLED light, open the app of your choice and start filming Microphone features Durable and compact At just 7.6 cm long and 42.5 grams, the VideoMicro is a discreet companion for your smartphone. Its ceramic coating reduces glare and its durable aluminium body helps reject RF interference. Shotgun microphone with directional sound capture While most built-in smartphone microphones capture sound in all directions, this microphone uses a cardioid polar pattern to focus on the sound in front of it whilst attenuating sound from the rear. Its active electronics and directional condenser element deliver more detailed sound than the microphones typically found in mobile devices. Easy smartphone connection The detachable SC7 3.5 mm TRS to TRRS coiled cable is included for quick connection to any smartphone with a 3.5 mm headphone port. The cable is wired to ensure the microphone signal is correctly routed to your phone's input. Runs on plug-in power As the VideoMicro runs on plug-in power, no battery is required to operate it. Simply connect the microphone to your smartphone and forget about replacing or recharging batteries. Detachable shock mount to inhibit vibrations Understanding that the elastic bands used in many shock mounts can break and stretch, Rode chose to use a robust Rycote Lyre-style shock mount. This simplifies microphone installation and prevents the transfer of vibrations from your mobile phone. In addition, the underside of the shock mount features a cold shoe, ensuring easy attachment to the included DCS-1 dual cold shoe accessory mount. Windshield minimises wind noise The VideoMicro includes a windshield to minimise unwanted wind noise from breezes, fans, heaters and air conditioners. SmartGrip features Smartphone mount The SmartGrip is a high-quality solution for mounting a smartphone on a tripod. It features a robust metal construction with rubber grips and is suitable for mounting phones between 6.6 and 8.6 cm wide. Additional mounting points The SmartGrip features a cold shoe for easy attachment of Rode VideoMics and other accessories. Three 1/4" threaded mounting points allow easy mounting on tripods and handles in various orientations.
