The Sennheiser E906 is a supercardioid instrument microphone primarily designed for close-miking guitar amplifiers. The E906 features a dynamic element with supercardioid directivity that provides optimal rejection of off-axis signals and background noise. The E906 offers great headroom and low distortion when capturing signals at excessive sound pressure levels. The element responds to very fast attacks with extreme precision, without distortion. The E906 is an excellent choice for guitar amplifiers as well as percussion instruments and brass.
Optimised for guitar amplifiers
The frequency and sensitivity response of the E906 is optimised for faithful reproduction of guitar amplifiers, brass and percussion.
Fast transient response
The E906 is capable of handling high sound pressure levels and fast attacks are reproduced accurately without distortion.
Supercardioid directivity
The supercardioid directivity is effective at minimising off-axis audio and background noise that can cause feedback.
Hum compensation
The integrated hum compensation coil eliminates buzzing and low-frequency noise.
Robust construction
The robust and durable construction is capable of withstanding life on the road or in the studio.
