The MKH 8040 stereo set consists of two MKH 8040 microphones, two windshields, two microphone clips and a carrying case.

Thanks to its cardioid directivity, the MKH 8040 is perfectly suited to a wide range of applications.

It features a balanced frequency response across its entire directivity, as well as significantly reduced pickup of rear sounds without altering its natural timbre: very valuable qualities when used in rooms with poor acoustics or when disturbing sounds come mainly from behind.
