Fohhn expands its Perform series with the PT-70 – a high-performance 2-way loudspeaker system with cardioid functionality, specially developed for concert sound reinforcement and touring applications. The new loudspeaker constitutes an ideal sound reinforcement system for tent concerts, halls and clubs, or for urban festivals and small outdoor events. It also serves as a solid extension for line array systems and large Beam Steering systems. For the rental market, the PT-70 has many applications as a multifunctional loudspeaker system. The PT-70 contains two 12" chassis with compression chamber and horn, plus a 1.4" compression driver with CD horn. It features a passive filter that distributes the loudspeaker's audio signal. An intelligent protection circuit (IPC), a voltage-controlled semiconductor circuit, protects the high-frequency driver against overloads - quickly and reliably. The loudspeaker system also features Convertible Dispersion Technology (CDT), registered as a utility model. This technology allows the PT-70 to switch between cardioid and vented operation. In cardioid mode, sound dispersion in the mid-low frequencies is effectively reduced at the rear of the system. Thus, first-class sound reproduction and speech intelligibility are ensured. The PT-70 has been developed exclusively to operate with Fohhn loudspeaker presets - particularly with the Fohhn Class D D-2.1500 amplifier: System equalisation is done in the Fohhn DSP, which also includes all the protection functions necessary for safe operation. Combined with this amplifier and Fohhn subwoofers, the PT-70 delivers excellent results.

Passive horn-loaded loudspeaker system with 2-way technology
Passive horn-loaded loudspeaker system, with 2-way technology, equipped with two 12" mid-bass chassis in compression chamber, horn-loaded and with a 1.4" high-frequency compression driver. Fully neodymium. The loudspeaker system has a constant directivity horn with a defined beam dispersion of 90° x 50° or 60° x 50°. The system is also equipped with an integrated passive filter, phase-optimised, with active semiconductor circuit (IPC technology) for high-frequency driver protection. The loudspeaker system can be manually switched between cardioid and vented operation. It also features a midrange waveguide system to suppress unwanted side lobes in the vertical acoustic axis. The loudspeaker enclosure is made of birch multiplex plywood, with steel reinforcement and a scratch-resistant black polyurethane coating. Can be supplied, on request, in all RAL Classic colours. Available optionally with a polyurethane coating that has an additional UV protection layer and waterproof membrane for increased protection against environmental impacts, weather and mechanical wear. For tripod use and suspended applications, the loudspeaker system is equipped with two suspension attachments for Quicklock mounting brackets and AEROQUIP rigging hardware, as well as two eye rings for safety. Connections: two Neutrik NL4 Speakon.
