Horn loaded. Cardioid. Plug & Play.
Fohhn expands its Perform series with the PT-70 – a high-performance 2-way speaker system with cardioid functionality specially developed for concert sound reinforcement and touring applications. The new speaker constitutes an ideal sound reinforcement system for concerts under marquees, in halls and clubs, or for urban festivals and small outdoor events. It also serves as a solid extension for line arrays and large Beam Steering systems. For the rental market, the PT-70 offers numerous applications as a multifunctional speaker system. The PT-70 contains two 12" chassis with compression chamber and horn, plus a 1.4" compression driver with CD horn. It features a passive filter that divides the speaker's audio signal. An Intelligent Protection Circuit (IPC), a voltage-controlled semiconductor circuit, protects the high-frequency driver against overloads - quickly and reliably. The speaker system also features Convertible Dispersion Technology (CDT), which is registered as a utility model. This technology allows the PT-70 to switch between cardioid and vented operation. In cardioid mode, sound dispersion in the low-mid frequencies is effectively reduced at the rear of the system. Thus, first-class sound reproduction and speech intelligibility are ensured. The PT-70 has been developed exclusively to operate with Fohhn speaker presets - particularly with the Fohhn Class D D-2.1500 amplifier: System equalisation is performed in the Fohhn DSP, which also includes all necessary protection functions for safe operation. Combined with this amplifier and Fohhn subwoofers, the PT-70 delivers excellent results.
Features:
- Two variants: horizontal sound dispersion of 90° or 60°

Passive horn speaker system with 2-way technology
Passive horn speaker system with 2-way technology, equipped with two 12" low-mid chassis in compression chamber, horn loaded and with a 1.4" high-frequency compression driver. Fully neodymium. The speaker system features a constant directivity horn with defined beam dispersion of 90° x 50° or 60° x 50°. The system is also equipped with an integrated passive filter, phase-optimised, with active semiconductor circuit (IPC technology) for high-frequency driver protection. The speaker system can be manually switched between cardioid mode and vented mode. It also features a mid-range waveguide system to suppress unwanted side lobes in the vertical acoustic axis. The speaker cabinet is manufactured from birch multiplex plywood, with steel reinforcement and a black scratch-resistant polyurethane coating. Can be supplied, on request, in all RAL Classic colours. Available optionally with a polyurethane coating that features an additional UV protection layer and waterproof membrane for better protection against environmental impacts, weather and mechanical wear. For tripod use and suspended applications, the speaker system is equipped with two suspension mountings for Quicklock flying brackets and AEROQUIP rigging hardware, as well as two eyelets for safety. Connections: two Neutrik NL4 Speakon.
