The Yamaha DXS15XLF-D in black is a Dante-equipped powered subwoofer designed to extend the low frequencies of full-range speakers and particularly suited for use with the DZR series powered speakers. The 1600 W Class D amplifier drives the 15" woofer to deliver a frequency response of 33 to 150 Hz (-10 dB) with a maximum SPL of 136 dB.
The built-in 96 kHz D-XSUB LF DSP processor provides comprehensive bass management. Normal mode is ideal for a balanced low-frequency response, while Boost mode delivers tighter, more precise bass with a little extra punch. Xtended LF mode reaches even deeper into the low frequencies for deeper bass. When using two or more subwoofers, selecting Cardioid mode can effectively reduce stage volume whilst increasing the low-frequency output directed towards the audience.
The rear panel features two XLR-1/4" combo inputs with XLR thru/out outputs and dedicated level controls. A USB port enables system updates and preset configuration and saving. The DXS15XLF-D is fitted with an additional panel featuring two etherCON connectors (2-in/2-out) for interfacing with other Dante-compatible equipment such as additional speakers and Yamaha CL/QL/TF digital mixing consoles. The Yamaha DXS15XLF-D comes supplied with a standard IEC power cable.

D-XSUB LF Processing
- DXS XLF subwoofers are driven by high-power 96 kHz DSP processors and utilise a dynamic equaliser
- Built-in D-XSUB LF processing provides comprehensive low-frequency management
- Normal mode: Set for an ideally balanced low-frequency response
- Boost mode: Delivers tighter, more precise bass with a little extra punch
- Xtended LF mode: Reaches even deeper into the low frequencies for deeper bass
- Cardioid mode:
- Works with two or more subwoofers
- Effectively reduces acoustic pressure on stage whilst increasing the bass output directed towards the audience
- Results in a much cleaner monitoring environment on stage
DSP Protection
- DSP protection functions for maximum output and component longevity
- Active subwoofers ensure that the transducer and amplifier combination is matched and optimised for the best possible performance
- During development, Yamaha measured and tested the durability of each transducer and the overall amplifier output to define optimal limiting points using precise DSP control
- Using several of the same protection functions found in top-of-the-range professional amplifiers, Yamaha's DSP continuously monitors the status of the power supply, power amplifiers, transducers and signal levels to protect each component in order to maintain optimal performance whilst extending component lifespan and usability
Dante
- Dante enables intelligent system integration with Yamaha consoles and other Dante devices via Dante I/O (2-in/2-out), which also includes SRC (sample rate conversion) enabling compatibility with 48 kHz devices
- Patching is considerably simplified with Yamaha CL/QL digital mixing consoles from the I/O device display
- TF console users can select Quick Config for surprisingly fast and easy setup and operation of a sophisticated PA system
- Combining analogue I/O with Dante I/O opens up flexible routing and system configuration options
- Dante break-IN and break-OUT functions add even more flexibility by acting as a simple I/O box
- Yamaha's customisable control software "ProVisionare Control" for Windows and "ProVisionare Touch" for iPad are also Dante-compatible, adding simpler remote management of your PA system
