The Yamaha DZR10-D in black is a Dante-equipped powered 2-way loudspeaker designed for front-of-house/main PA and stage monitor applications. The 2000 W Class D bi-amplified power amplifier drives the 10" woofer and 2" compression driver, which together deliver a frequency range of 44 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) with a maximum sound pressure level of 137 dB. The rotatable horn allows vertical or horizontal installation to better suit the acoustic dimensions of a venue. The constant-directivity horn has been designed to provide uniform, balanced coverage across the intended coverage area, minimising the attenuation commonly found in conventional horn designs.
The built-in 96 kHz DSP processor uses advanced FIR filters for crossover filtering and corrective equalisation. Thanks to FIR filters, the DZR10-D is capable of producing a smooth frequency response for remarkable clarity and sonic imaging without phase distortion. The built-in LCD display allows users to easily navigate through the various DSP functions, load presets and adjust parametric equalisation, delay and routing. D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multiband compressor that ensures the DZR10-D's sound remains consistent and clear no matter how hard you push it. FOH/Main mode boosts the low frequencies to compensate for the bass typically lost when speakers are flown, while Monitor mode is optimised for stage monitor application by attenuating problematic low frequencies that can be accentuated by floor reflection and smoothing a wide frequency range to provide the clarity demanded by professionals in their stage monitors.
The rear panel offers two XLR-6.35 mm combo inputs with direct XLR outputs and dedicated level controls. A USB port allows system updates and preset configuration and storage. The DZR10-D features an additional panel with two etherCON connectors (2 inputs/2 outputs) for interfacing with other Dante-compatible equipment such as other loudspeakers and Yamaha CL/QL/TF digital mixing consoles. The Yamaha DZR10-D is supplied with a standard IEC power cable.

Advanced FIR-X Tuning
- 96 kHz DSP processors help focus the DZR10's output power into a high-resolution sound with ultra-low latency
- Yamaha's advanced FIR-X tuning significantly enhances its proprietary FIR-X tuning technology, which uses linear-phase FIR filters for crossover filtering and corrective equalisation
- By using FIR filters, Yamaha has achieved a very smooth frequency response for remarkable clarity and sonic imaging without phase distortion
- Precise equalisation filtering is also provided for fine-tuning to achieve ideal clarity and sound pressure level without signal degradation
- A built-in LCD display allows users to easily navigate through the various DSP functions, load presets and make precise adjustments to parametric equalisation, delay and routing
- Store up to 8 user presets to save your own parameter settings, or use dedicated optimised factory presets for combined use of the DZR and DXS XLF series
- Users can easily transfer saved settings to a USB flash drive
D-Contour
- D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multiband compressor that ensures your DZR's sound remains consistent and clear no matter how hard you push it
- By constantly monitoring the output of multiple frequency bands and applying optimal equalisation adjustments to each, even the highest output levels maintain exceptional clarity and musicality
- D-CONTOUR offers settings for FOH/Main and Monitor modes
- FOH/Main: Boosts the low frequencies to compensate for the bass typically absent when speakers are flown
- Monitor: Optimised for stage monitor application by attenuating problematic low frequencies that can be accentuated by floor reflection, and smoothing a wide frequency range to help provide clarity
- Presets were created by carrying out countless listening tests with qualified sound engineers to ensure consistent sound with low distortion at any output level
DSP Protection
- DSP protection functions for maximum output and component longevity
- Active loudspeakers ensure that the combination of transducers and amplifiers is matched and optimised for the best possible performance
- During development, Yamaha measured and tested the durability of each transducer and the overall amplifier output to define optimal limiting points using precise DSP control
- By employing the many protection functions used in high-end professional power amplifiers, Yamaha's DSP constantly monitors the status of the power supply, power amplifiers, transducers and signal levels to protect each component in order to maintain optimal performance while extending component lifespan and ease of use
Dante
- Dante enables intelligent system integration with Yamaha consoles and other Dante devices via Dante input/output (2 inputs/2 outputs), which also features an SRC (sample rate converter) allowing compatibility with 48 kHz devices
- Routing is considerably simplified with Yamaha CL/QL digital mixing consoles from the input/output device display
- TF console users can select Quick Config for remarkably fast and easy setup and use of a sophisticated PA system
- The combination of analogue inputs/outputs with Dante inputs/outputs opens up flexible routing and system configuration options
- Dante break-IN and break-OUT functions add even more flexibility by acting as a simple input/output box
- Yamaha's customisable control software "ProVisionare Control" for Windows and "ProVisionare Touch" for iPad are also Dante-compatible, adding simple remote management of your PA system
