The Yamaha DZR15 black is a 2-way powered speaker designed for front-of-house/FOH and stage monitor applications. The 2000 W Class D bi-amplified system drives the 15" woofer and the 2" compression driver, which combine to deliver a frequency range of 34 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) with a maximum SPL of 139 dB. The rotating horn allows vertical or horizontal mounting to better suit the acoustic dimensions of a room. The constant-directivity horn has been designed to provide uniform and balanced coverage over the intended coverage area, minimising the attenuation common in conventional horn designs.
The built-in 96 kHz DSP processor uses advanced FIR filters for crossover filtering and corrective equalisation. With FIR filters, the DZR15 is capable of producing a smooth frequency response for remarkable sonic clarity and imaging without phase distortion. The built-in LCD display allows users to easily navigate through the various DSP functions, load presets and adjust the parametric equaliser, delay and routing. D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multi-band compressor that ensures the sound of the DZR15 remains consistent and clear regardless of the level at which it is driven. FOH/Main mode boosts low frequencies to compensate for the bass typically lost when speakers are flown, whilst Monitor mode is optimised for stage monitor use by attenuating problematic low frequencies that can be amplified by floor reflection, and by smoothing a wide frequency range to provide the clarity that professionals demand from their stage monitors.
The rear panel offers two XLR-1/4" combo inputs with XLR thru/out outputs and dedicated level controls. A USB port allows system updates as well as preset configuration and saving. The Yamaha DZR15 is supplied with a standard IEC power cable.

- Save up to 8 user presets to store your own parameter adjustments, or use dedicated optimised factory presets for combined use of the DZR and DXS XLF series

D-Contour

- By constantly monitoring the output of multiple frequency bands and applying optimal equalisation adjustments for each, even the highest output levels maintain exceptional clarity and musicality

- FOH/Main: Boosts low frequencies to compensate for the bass typically absent when speakers are used in a flown configuration
- Monitor: Optimised for stage monitor application by attenuating problematic low frequencies that can be amplified by floor reflection, and by smoothing a wide frequency range to help provide greater clarity
- Presets were created by conducting countless listening tests with qualified sound engineers to ensure consistent sound with low distortion at any output level
DSP Protection
- DSP protection functions for maximum output and component longevity
- Active speakers ensure that the combination of transducers and amplifiers is matched and optimised for the best possible performance
- During development, Yamaha measured and tested the durability of each transducer and the overall amplifier output to define optimal limiting points using precise DSP control
- By using many of the same protection functions found in high-end professional amplifiers, Yamaha's DSP continuously monitors the status of the power supply, amplifiers, transducers and signal levels to protect each component in order to maintain optimal performance whilst extending the lifespan and usability of the components
