The Yamaha DZR15-D Black is a Dante-compatible 2-way powered loudspeaker designed for front-of-house (FOH) and stage monitor applications. The 2000 W Class D bi-amplified design powers the 15" woofer and 2" compression driver, combining a frequency range of 34 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) with a maximum SPL of 139 dB. The rotatable horn allows vertical or horizontal mounting to better adapt to the acoustic dimensions of a venue. The constant-directivity horn has been designed to provide uniform coverage over the intended coverage area, minimising the attenuation common in conventional horn designs. The built-in 96 kHz DSP processor uses advanced FIR filters for crossover filtering and corrective equalisation. With FIR filters, the DZR15-D is capable of producing a smooth frequency response for remarkable clarity and sonic imaging without phase distortion. The built-in LCD display allows users to easily navigate through the various DSP functions, load presets and adjust parametric equalisation, delay and routing. D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multi-band compressor that ensures the sound of the DZR15-D remains consistent and clear, regardless of how hard it is pushed. FOH/Main mode boosts the low frequencies to compensate for the bass generally lost when loudspeakers are flown, whilst Monitor mode is optimised for stage monitor use by controlling the problematic low frequencies that can be amplified by floor reflection, and by smoothing a wide frequency range to deliver the clarity that professionals demand from their stage monitors. The rear panel offers two XLR-Jack 6.35 mm combo inputs with XLR thru/out outputs and dedicated level controls. A USB port allows system updates and preset configuration and saving. The DZR15-D is equipped with an additional panel featuring two etherCON connectors (2-in/2-out) for interfacing with other Dante-compatible equipment such as other loudspeakers and Yamaha CL/QL/TF digital mixing consoles.
