The Yamaha DZR315-D in black is a 3-way powered loudspeaker with Dante capability, designed for front-of-house/FOH applications. The 2000 W Class D bi-amplified amplifier drives the 15" woofer, the 8" midrange driver and the 2" compression driver, which combine to deliver a frequency response of 31 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) with a maximum SPL of 143 dB.
The built-in 96 kHz DSP processor uses advanced FIR filters for crossover and corrective equalisation. With FIR filters, the DZR315-D is capable of producing a smooth frequency response for remarkable clarity and sonic imaging without phase distortion. The built-in LCD screen allows users to easily navigate through various DSP functions, load presets and adjust parametric equalisation, delay and routing. D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multiband compressor that ensures the sound of the DZR315-D remains consistent and clear regardless of how hard it is driven. FOH/Main mode enhances the low frequencies to compensate for the bass typically lost when speakers are flown.
The rear panel offers two XLR-1/4" combo inputs with XLR thru/out outputs and dedicated level controls. A USB port allows for system updates and preset configuration and storage. The DZR315-D features an additional panel with two etherCON connectors (2 inputs/2 outputs) for interfacing with other Dante-compatible equipment such as other loudspeakers and Yamaha CL/QL/TF digital mixing consoles. The Yamaha DZR315-D comes with a standard IEC power cable.

D-Contour
- D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multiband compressor that ensures the sound of your DZR remains consistent and clear regardless of how hard it is driven
- By constantly monitoring the outputs of multiple frequency bands and applying optimal equalisation adjustments to each, even the highest output levels maintain exceptional clarity and musicality
- D-CONTOUR provides parameters for FOH/Main mode, which enhances the low frequencies to compensate for the bass typically missing when speakers are used in flown applications
- Presets were created by conducting countless listening tests with qualified sound engineers to ensure consistent sound with low distortion at any output level
DSP Protection
- DSP protection functions for maximum output and component longevity
- Active loudspeakers ensure that the combination of transducers and amplifiers is matched and optimised for the best possible performance
- During development, Yamaha measured and tested the durability of each transducer and the overall amplifier output to define optimal limiting points using precise DSP control
- By using many of the same protection functions used in top-of-the-range professional amplifiers, Yamaha's DSP constantly monitors power supply, power amplifiers, transducers and signal levels to protect each component in order to maintain optimal performance while extending component lifespan and ease of use
Dante
- Dante enables intelligent system integration with Yamaha consoles and other Dante devices via Dante I/O (2 inputs/2 outputs), which also includes SRC (Sample Rate Conversion) enabling compatibility with 48 kHz devices
- Patching is greatly simplified with Yamaha CL/QL digital mixing consoles from the I/O device display
- TF console users can select Quick Config for surprisingly quick and easy setup and operation of a sophisticated PA system
- The combination of analogue I/O with Dante I/O opens up flexible routing and system configuration options
- The Dante break-IN and break-OUT function adds even more flexibility by acting as a simple I/O box
- Yamaha's customisable "ProVisionare Control" software for Windows and "ProVisionare Touch" for iPad are also Dante-compatible, adding simpler remote management of your PA system
