Yamaha matches specially selected components with corresponding serial numbers to ensure the best possible stereo image and a truly immersive sound. 6.5-inch bi-amplified studio monitor
The Yamaha HS8 combines a wide range of premium components, including larger-than-normal magnets for optimal audio fidelity. The advanced magnetic field design ensures extreme precision in sound reproduction, essential for mixing and mastering. Its 2-way bi-amplified design includes a 6.5-inch cone woofer and a 1-inch dome tweeter.
Both components are powered separately by dedicated amplifiers for maximum efficiency. The woofer is powered by a 75 W amplifier, and the tweeter by a 45 W amplifier. This ensures optimal audio performance even at high sound levels.
Ideal for music production, mixing and mastering
The ultra-wide frequency range and cutting-edge technology ensure you capture every nuance of your audio source, making it perfect for mixing and mastering. The resulting sound delivers well-defined bass, with smooth highs, while preserving the natural harmonic content of your sound. The dome tweeter features a thick waveguide to minimise vibrations, delivering a smooth, distortion-free high-frequency response.

The robust enclosure is designed to eliminate unwanted resonances for better performance. The design is built to last with an ergonomic layout on the rear of the monitor, for quick and easy control of your settings. It also features XLR and TRS jack inputs, accepting balanced or unbalanced signals, ideal for routing sound from an audio interface. The rear of the studio monitor also includes a master level attenuator, ranging from minimum to -10 dB, ensuring optimal audio quality regardless of volume.
