The Yamaha DXS15XLF-DW white is a Dante-equipped active subwoofer designed to extend the low frequencies of full-range speakers and perfectly suited for use with any active speaker in the DZR series. The 1600 W Class D amplifier powers the 15" loudspeaker to deliver a frequency response of 33 to 150 Hz (-10 dB) with a maximum sound pressure level of 136 dB. The integrated 96 kHz D-XSUB bass processor provides complete bass management. Normal mode is ideal for a balanced low-frequency response, while Boost mode delivers tighter and more precise bass with extra punch. Xtended LF mode pushes the low frequencies even lower for a sound with more bass. When using two or more subwoofers, selecting Cardioid mode can effectively reduce stage volume whilst increasing the low-frequency output directed towards the audience. The rear panel features two XLR-1/4" combo inputs with XLR thru/out outputs and dedicated level controls. A USB port enables system updates as well as preset configuration and storage. The DXS15XLF-DW is equipped with an additional panel featuring two etherCON connectors (2 inputs/2 outputs) for interfacing with other Dante-compatible equipment such as other Yamaha speakers and CL/QL/TF digital mixing consoles. The Yamaha DXS15XLF-DW is supplied with a standard IEC power cable. General features - Bass-reflex active subwoofer - Loudspeaker: 15" with 4" voice coil - Ideal for extending the low frequencies of all full-range speakers - Maximum sound pressure level: 136 dB - Frequency response (-10 dB): 33 to 150 Hz - 1600 W high-power Class D amplifier module - Lightweight yet extremely robust plywood cabinet with premium polyurea coating D-XSUB LF processing - DXS XLF subwoofers are powered by 96 kHz high-power DSP processors and use dynamic equalisation - The integrated D-XSUB LF processing provides total low-frequency management - Normal mode: Set for an ideally balanced low-frequency response - Boost mode: Delivers tighter and more precise bass with extra punch - Xtended LF mode: Pushes the low frequencies even lower for a sound with more bass Cardioid mode: - Works with two or more subwoofers - Effectively reduces sound pressure level on stage whilst increasing the low-frequency output directed towards the audience - Result: a much cleaner monitoring environment on stage DSP protection - DSP protection functions for maximum output and component longevity - Active subwoofers ensure that the transducer and amplifier combination is matched and optimised for the best possible performance - During development, Yamaha measured and tested the durability of each transducer and the overall amplifier output to define optimal limiting points using precise DSP control - Using numerous protection functions employed in top-of-the-range professional amplifiers, Yamaha's DSP constantly monitors the status of the power supply, power amplifiers, transducers and signal levels to protect each component in order to maintain optimal performance whilst extending component lifespan and usability Dante - Dante enables intelligent system integration with Yamaha consoles and other Dante devices via Dante I/O (2 inputs/2 outputs), which also includes SRC (Sample Rate Conversion) enabling compatibility with 48 kHz devices - Routing is greatly simplified with Yamaha CL/QL digital mixing consoles from the I/O device display - TF console users can select Quick Config for fast and easy setup and use of a sophisticated PA system - The combination of analogue I/O with Dante I/O opens up flexible routing and system configuration options - Dante's break-IN and break-OUT function adds even more flexibility by acting as a simple I/O box - Yamaha's customisable control software "ProVisionare Control" for Windows and "ProVisionare Touch" for iPad are also Dante-compatible, adding simpler remote management of your PA system
