The Yamaha white HS7I bi-amplified active studio monitor delivers 95W of output power, a 6.5" cone woofer, 1" dome tweeter, response controls to adapt speaker output to a wide range of acoustic spaces, and both standard XLR connector and jack input for direct connection of electronic musical instruments and other sources. The active studio monitor can be used to reproduce audio in various environments such as recording studios, home studios, cafes, restaurants, and more. Built with a low-resonance enclosure design, the MDF cabinet of the HS series provides damped acoustic response perfectly suited for reference monitors. The bi-amplified design features a 60W amplifier for the woofer and 35W for the tweeter. Other features include noise reduction technology that reduces audible noise up to 6 dB at the speaker port level. Additionally, the HS7I studio monitor can be wall or ceiling mounted. Highly Efficient Transducers The HS series features updated transducers that achieve smooth response across a wide bandwidth. These transducers use a magnetic field design that regulates magnetic response to provide natural, seamless sonic transitions. - Tweeter: 1" dome tweeter - Woofer: 6.5" cone High-Performance Amplification Unit The HS series speakers use an amplification unit matched to the transducers used in each model of the series. Featuring a bi-amplified design with separate dedicated amplifier for the woofer and tweeter, this amplification unit ensures that each HS series speaker delivers high-resolution sound with flat response across the sound spectrum. Low-Resonance Enclosure Design The monitor cabinets are designed to eliminate unwanted resonance and increase the accuracy of sound reproduction. The enclosures are constructed from very dense and resilient MDF with a damped acoustic response well suited for reference monitors. Noise Reduction Technology Speaker port design can affect the overall sound clarity. Often, vortex at either end of the port can generate air vibrations inside the port, causing unwanted noise. By adopting an advanced noise reduction technology, audible noise reduction is decreased by up to 6dB. This allows HS series studio monitors to meet the demands of professional production environments at their most critical. Controls and Connectivity HS series full-range models feature two response controls with detailed settings that allow them to adapt to the acoustics of rooms of varying shapes and sizes. Room Control allows you to attenuate unnatural, exaggerated low-frequencies that can often occur when speakers are placed close to walls, while High Trim allows for better control of high-frequency response. For inputs, HS full-range speakers can accommodate a wide range of balanced and unbalanced sources such as mixers, keyboards, and audio interfaces with XLR and TRS connectors. Flexible Installation By adding mounting points to the original HS monitor, the HS-I model is now compatible with three types of optional brackets - wall, ceiling, and pole - adding the flexibility needed to accommodate a wide range of sonic environments. Features - Installation version of the HS7W - features mounting points on 4 surfaces - High-performance speakers: 6.5" cone woofer, 1" dome tweeter - Large magnets in advanced magnetic circuit design - Built-in bi-amplification: 60 watts LF, 35 watts HF - Dedicated power amplifiers are perfectly matched to the woofer and tweeter - Cabinet is designed to eliminate unwanted resonance that can color the sound - Room Control and High Trim controls give you optimum response in any room
