The Sony CBK-WA01//C Wi-Fi adapter, used with the CBK-UPG01 hardware key


or the CBKZ-UPG01 upgrade software key, provides wireless


LAN connectivity to PDW-500, PDW-700 and PDW-F800 camcorders.


By enabling the XMPilot metadata workflow, the Wi-Fi adapter


(combined with the key) allows the camera to stream proxy-quality video


and audio during capture to a dedicated application on a laptop


or smartphone via Wi-Fi. From the device, metadata can be added to the video.


Note! This requires the CBK-UPG01 hardware key (for PMW-500) or the


CBKZ-UPG01 upgrade software key (for PDW-700 & 800) to unlock the camera's Wi-Fi function.


For the PMW-500, this functionality will also require an upgrade to the


XDCAM Browser 1.1 software, which will be available at the end of 2011.
