NDI interface unit for the AV-UHS500 video mixer, with NDI® support and IP transmission via NDI® and NDI®|HX
NDI®*1 and NDI®|HX*1 signals can be transmitted directly from cameras to the AV-UHS500 using a single LAN cable.
NDI®*1 signals enable the AV-UHS500 to be connected to a streaming PC using a single LAN cable.
Hardware processing enables the construction of highly reliable IP systems.
Remote live production supporting video transmission and camera control can be achieved when used in a system with Panasonic cameras*2 compatible with NDI®*1 and NDI®|HX*1.
*1: In this case, NDI® is used to indicate low latency with high bandwidth NDI®, NDI®|HX is used to indicate high efficiency with low bandwidth NDI®|HX. NDI® is a new protocol developed by NewTek, Inc. that supports IP video production workflow. NDI® is a registered trademark of NewTek, Inc. in the United States and other countries.
*2: Panasonic integrated 4K/HD cameras and AG-CX350 memory card camcorder. Please refer to the page for further details on integrated 4K/HD cameras with NDI® and NDI®|HX support.
High-quality remote live production thanks to NDI® and NDI®|HX
With this NDI interface unit installed, the AV-UHS500 video mixer supports input and output via high-quality, low-latency video transmission from NDI®* and stable low-bitrate transmission from NDI®|HX*. This enables the construction of IP streaming systems covering operations from video transmission to camera control using a single LAN cable and supports remote live video production at sporting events and other occasions.
