Telescopic booms are fitted with a very robust pipe clamp to attach to a lighting grid. The pipe clamp has been slightly offset to allow the rising or descending tube to slide upwards when there is sufficient space between the grid and the ceiling. It is therefore possible for a single telescopic boom with a 3-foot extension to go from a few centimetres below the grid to a full 3-foot extension. MSE telescopic booms are available in single and double versions. All terminate in a 1/2-13 female thread to allow the attachment of multiple hanging accessories listed below. An XTA head can be added for greater versatility. MSE booms are designed with an internal mechanical stop that prevents the rising tube from falling if the locking button is accidentally released.
