One of the issues generated by a light source such as a 12K or larger is the enormous heat transmitted from the front of the light. When trying to diffuse the source with silk or lighting control filters, the extreme temperatures destroy these materials.

The Extension Ear allows you to position the diffusion frame at a variable distance from the light source, thus avoiding the intense heat and creating an even distribution of light.
