Matthews Matthpoles are more robust and durable than any other similar product. The unique "expandable cast moulding" provides the necessary pressure to keep the Matthpole in place. Used primarily in studios to mount seamless paper and backdrops using Super Mafer clamps and swivel U-hooks, Matthpoles have also been used horizontally behind the President of the United States to support small luminaires, at campaign venues for numerous candidates, and probably in many places we are not even aware of. Manufactured in three overlapping sizes, Matthpoles can be used in openings ranging from 76 cm to 452 cm, nearly 4.5 metres without requiring extensions.

WARNING: As tubes can sag over long lengths and when weight is added, the Matthpole may loosen and fall. It is therefore recommended to use vertical Matthpoles with two Super Mafer clamps mounted at right angles with a pivot #209635 at each end to support the horizontal Matthpole. To avoid damaging the wall or ceiling, Matthpoles should only be used in direct alignment with studs.
