Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L tilt-shift lens
Offering an ultra-wide field of view with advanced perspective and focus control, the TS-E 17mm f/4L lens is a Canon L-series tilt-shift lens particularly suited to architectural and interior photography. Tilt up to +/- 6.5° is possible for focus control, and shift of +/- 12mm for perspective and composition adjustment. The tilt and shift mechanism can be rotated +/- 90° to apply movements in all directions, and a tilt lock mechanism can be used during shooting for greater stability.
Complementing the lens operation, this fixed focal length L-series model is also distinguished by its optical design which includes four ultra-low dispersion elements to significantly reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations, as well as an aspherical element to minimise spherical aberrations and distortion. Individual elements also benefit from Sub Wavelength coating to suppress reflections and ghosting, providing better contrast and colour neutrality. Additionally, a floating optical system and rear focusing design help maintain consistent image quality throughout the focusing range, from 25 cm to infinity.
