The Manfrotto 324 5/8" surveyor adaptor and plate consists of two parts: a 5/8" socket with a 3/8" female thread to attach it to a tripod, and a removable 4.9" diameter plate with a 5/8" male thread, which should remain fixed to the equipment.
With this adaptor, it is possible to transform any Manfrotto tripod into a tripod compatible with the standard mounting interface system used in the surveying and measurement industry.
