The new POL-DSLR/C300 modular fleece cover features a thick layer of padded insulation and is lined with Mylar® fabric to reflect heat back towards the camera. Air-activated heat packs (PHP-2 sold separately) can be inserted into the interior mesh pockets to provide additional warmth when shooting in extremely cold weather.

Insulated protection is also provided for the LCD viewfinder, which is quickly accessible under a Velcro-fastened cover. There is also protection for the shotgun microphone and a lens hood to prevent condensation on the lens when returning indoors. The new modular design works equally well with a standard lens or with a matte box.
