Rode NTG8 Broadcast-Quality Long-Range Shotgun Microphone

The Rode NTG8 broadcast-quality long-range shotgun microphone follows in the tradition of the NTG3 shotgun microphone with broadcast-quality performance, uniform directionality and robust construction. The NTG8 measures 559 mm (22") in length and features an externally RF-biased supercardioid condenser, offering high resistance to moisture and adverse weather conditions.
Its extended length makes the NTG8 a viable choice for achieving high levels of intelligibility, detail and low noise during wide shots, or when positioned further away from the signal source. The NTG8's frequency response, sensitivity and dynamic range make it an ideal choice for video audio, feature films, documentaries, live broadcasts and much more. The microphone is powered by (external) phantom power and includes a windshield, shock mount and aluminium storage case.
- High level of intelligibility for wide shots and long distances
- Highly directional polar response
- Natural on-axis and off-axis sound
- Designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions
- Extremely low handling noise
- High level of immunity to radio frequency interference
- Condenser (external RF bias)
- High sensitivity
- Enhanced broadcast sound quality
