Specifications
Digital audio processing for high-quality sound
Sony's advanced digital audio processing technology ensures high-quality sound with improved transient response performance. A new digital audio interface |optional| enables direct digital audio recording with many Sony professional camcorders and Alpha interchangeable-lens cameras via the SMAD-P5 Multi-Interface Shoe adapter, bypassing the A/D and D/A conversion steps to ensure excellent sound quality.
Seamless integration with camcorder
Integration with compatible Sony camcorders (requires SMAD-P5 Multi-Interface Shoe adapter) displays audio information such as RF level, audio mute status and low battery alert from the transmitter in the camera's viewfinder. Via the SMAD-P5, audio signals are transmitted from the receiver to the camera without requiring a cable connection. The wireless receiver can also receive power from the camera, with start/stop synchronisation between the camera and receiver for more efficient power management.
Quick and easy frequency setting
Sony's unique and user-friendly NFC SYNC function enables quick and intuitive setup of a secure channel between the transmitter and receiver.
Lightweight and compact design
The compact dimensions and light weight of the system provide superior mobility across a wide range of applications, including news reporting, documentaries, weddings and remote production. The compact dimensions and light weight of the receiver make it an ideal partner for use with small camcorders and interchangeable-lens digital cameras.
