Specifications
Digital audio processing for high-quality sound
Sony's advanced digital audio processing technology ensures high-quality sound with improved transient response performance. A new digital audio interface [optional] enables direct digital audio recording with many Sony professional camcorders and Alpha interchangeable-lens cameras via the MI (Multi Interface) shoe adapter SMAD-P5, bypassing the A/D and D/A conversion steps to guarantee excellent sound quality.
Seamless camcorder integration
Integration with compatible Sony camcorders* (requires the SMAD-P5 Multi Interface shoe adapter) displays audio information such as RF level, mute status and low battery alert from the transmitter in the camera viewfinder. Via the SMAD-P5, audio signals are transferred from the receiver to the camera without requiring a cable connection. The wireless receiver can also receive power from the camera, with on/off synchronisation between the camera and receiver for more efficient power management.
Quick and easy frequency setup
Sony's unique and user-friendly NFC SYNC function enables quick and intuitive setup of the secure channel between transmitter and receiver.
Lightweight and compact design
The reduced size and weight of the system enable superior mobility across a wide range of applications, including news gathering, documentaries, weddings and remote production. The compact size and light weight of the receiver make it an ideal partner for use with compact camcorders and interchangeable-lens digital cameras.
