The DWR-S03D is the latest addition to the Sony DWX Generation 3 series, offering a compact receiver perfect for all ENG/EFP applications. Now compatible with UniSlot, this portable 2-channel receiver can be mounted on a selection of cameras using the new interface adapter DWA-SLAS1 or DWA-SLAU1. Operating over a bandwidth of up to 148 MHz, and with automatic channel scanning and synchronisation, the DWR-S03D has the ability to quickly find free and unoccupied frequencies, even in the busiest areas. DWX Series Gen3 slot-in receiver from 566.025 MHz to 714.000 MHz. Features Superior wireless transmission and reception Sony's years of experience in audio product engineering provide us with excellent features such as a dynamic range of over 106 dB. With a frequency response of 20–22 kHz and excellent transient response, we can confidently say this is the best digital audio system available. Flexible interface A selection of adapters is available allowing use with Sony and other manufacturers. DWA-SLAS1: for Sony cameras, DWA-01D and DWA-F01D DWA-SLAU1: for products with UniSlot Wide bandwidth A bandwidth of up to 148 MHz (depending on region) enables flexible operation with a wide selection of channels. Automatic channel scan and sync function By simply holding down the menu selection and adjustment button, the DWR-S03D will enter channel scan and sync mode. This will automatically scan for free channels, then assign the two best to the two receiver channels, which can then be transmitted to the two transmitters via Cross Remote. Stable RF transmissions Sony's DWX range uses what is known as Sony's X-Dimension diversity. The combination of Sony's advanced digital technology diversity, multidimensional diversity, and high-precision calculation algorithms provides you with an incredibly stable transmission stability. Innovative Cross Remote monitoring/control function The DWR-S03D can remotely control transmitter features such as input attenuation, audio low-pass filter cut-off frequency, RF frequency selection, RF output power, RF frequency selection and standby mode. Advanced integration with XDCAM shoulder camera The following functions are available when combining the DWR-S03D with the XDCAM camera. - Synchronised video and audio latency - The camera's LCD screen or viewfinder can monitor the wireless audio status - Via Cross Remote™, certain transmitter settings can be controlled remotely. - The transmitter's power saving can be controlled remotely by the camera's assignable switch. - The camera's main switch can be used to automatically toggle the transmitters' power saving mode between active and standby. - Applicable camera: PXW-Z450 Ver.3.0~/PXW-X400 Ver.3.2~/PXW-X500 Ver.5.2~/PXW-Z750 Four codec modes designed for a wide variety of applications As with the 2-channel Rack receivers, the DWR-S03D uses Sony's excellent codec development, with 4 options to suit a wide range of scenarios. MODE1: Audio codec mode compatible with first-generation DWX devices. MODE2: Audio codec mode that prioritises short delay times whilst maintaining transmission stability and high audio quality. MODE3: Audio codec mode that uses additional signal processing to suppress noise caused by unexpected pulse interference MODE4: Audio codec mode that prioritises audio quality for faithful reproduction whilst maintaining transmission stability and low delay time Low audio latency and high-quality sound An audio latency of just 1.2 ms combines with high-quality 96 kHz audio (CODEC MODE2, with DWT-B03R or DWT-B30). Encrypted transmissions To minimise the risk of interception, the DWR-S03D transmits and receives digitally modulated encrypted data. This ensures secure reception and transition with 256-bit AES encryption. Compact, lightweight and robust design Made from die-cast magnesium and aluminium, this device is robust yet lightweight for the most demanding environments.
