Designed for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens offers a versatile range of wide-angle focal lengths with excellent image quality while optimizing size and weight. As an Art series zoom, this lens also stands out with its constant f/2.8 maximum aperture to adapt to available lighting conditions. Featuring a sophisticated optical design, a series of low dispersion and aspherical elements are used to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range for enhanced sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy. A Super Multi-Layer coating combined with a Nano Porous coating also helps to suppress lens flare and ghosting to a greater extent than conventional anti-reflective coatings. This allows for more efficient production of contrast-rich and color-accurate images in various lighting conditions. While full-time manual focus is available, this lens is equipped with a stepping motor that enables smooth and fast autofocus, remarkably quiet, whether using features such as face/eye detection AF or during video recording. A built-in autofocus lock (AFL) button can be assigned additional functions to expand the range of operations available on the lens, while inside, a rounded 11-blade diaphragm enhances image quality by helping to create harmonious bokeh. Additionally, a built-in lens hood serves to protect the front element and prevent stray light from causing flare.
