Sony E 18-200 mm F3.5-6.3 OSS LE
Much smaller and lighter than comparable lenses, the Sony SEL18200LE high-power zoom lens is perfect for a wide variety of shooting situations. With a compact size achieved in part through a reduction in the size of the autofocus motor and optical image stabilisation unit, this lens offers a powerful blend of versatility and image quality, perfect for shooting situations where a lightweight and compact camera-and-lens combination is optimal.
The lens's wide focal coverage — from 18 mm wide-angle to 200 mm telephoto (equivalent to 27 mm to 300 mm in 35 mm format) — makes it an ideal high-power "travel" lens for a wide variety of photography types. Capture expansive landscapes, charming portraits with pleasingly blurred backgrounds, and even sports and wildlife photography. Optical SteadyShot (OSS) technology reduces blur caused by camera shake and reduces reliance on high ISO settings when shooting in dark environments.
New compact and lightweight design
Much smaller and lighter than the SEL18200 lens, the SEL18200LE is the perfect lens to cover a wide variety of shooting situations. Achieved in part through a reduction in the size of the autofocus motor and optical image stabilisation unit, the versatility and image quality of this compact lens will appeal to all users who want a lightweight and compact camera-and-lens combination.
High imaging performance
Equipped with two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements and four aspherical elements, the SAL-18200LE lens uses the same popular circular aperture found in many lenses, enabling photos with beautiful rounded blur areas.
Optical SteadyShot
Equipped with Optical SteadyShot (OSS), the lens compensates for blur caused by camera shake. In addition to reducing blur for normal handheld photography, Optical SteadyShot also reduces reliance on high ISO settings when shooting in dark environments, significantly improving the effectiveness of Handheld Twilight and Anti Motion Blur modes.
11x high-power zoom
The lens's wide focal coverage — from 18 mm to 200 mm (27 mm to 300 mm in 35 mm equivalent) — makes it an ideal high-power "travel" lens for a wide variety of photography types. Users can easily capture expansive landscapes, snapshots of expressive faces with a "human vision" angle of view, charming portraits with delicately blurred backgrounds and more. In addition, the lens's telephoto capability makes it ideal for sports and wildlife photography.
Capture sharp, blur-free images
The lens-integrated Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation ensures smooth, blur-free photos and videos when shooting handheld.
Soft bokeh
Instead of a standard polygonal lens aperture, this lens features a 7-blade circular aperture for a more natural and rounded blur effect or "bokeh".
Refined optical performance
Aspherical lens elements minimise distortion while ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements deliver superior contrast, resolution and colour fidelity.
Fast and agile focusing
An internal focusing mechanism means the lens barrel does not move, enabling a more compact design, faster autofocus response and reduced minimum focusing distances.
