The Sony E PZ 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS lens is a powerful yet compact zoom for Sony's APS-C format E-mount mirrorless cameras. Its zoom range is equivalent to 27-300mm in 35mm format, offering capabilities from wide-angle to super-telephoto. This versatility allows you to photograph groups, interiors and vast landscapes, as well as zoom in for portraits and bring distant subjects closer. A new internal linear stepping motor provides silent and smooth focusing, ideal for video recording. In addition to the Power Zoom function with three variable zoom speeds, the lens supports constant speed zoom for slow, smooth zooming, also desirable when shooting videos. The zoom can be controlled from camcorders equipped with built-in zoom levers and by the standard control on the lens barrel.

Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation (OSS) offers 4-stop shake correction, allowing you to capture more light with less blur and deliver sharper images when shooting in low light or at long focal lengths. When OSS is combined with NEX series camcorders' Motion Blur Reduction and Handheld Twilight modes, indoor low-light shooting can be maintained with lower ISOs and minimal noise, even using ambient light. An optical design that includes 5 aspherical elements and extra-low dispersion glass provides sharp, contrasty images across the entire frame.

18-200mm, 11x zoom range
With its 18-200mm zoom range, equivalent to a 27-300mm zoom lens in 35mm format, this lens is extremely versatile, offering capabilities from wide-angle to super telephoto. It is compatible with APS-C format E-mount cameras and will fit on full-frame E-mount cameras, but is only fully compatible when used in crop mode.

Smooth and silent autofocus and zoom
An internal stepping motor means that autofocus and zoom functions operate smoothly and in near silence, which is ideal when shooting video so that camera noise doesn't interfere with recorded audio.

Power Zoom with variable and constant zoom speeds
In addition to three variable zoom speeds, this 18-200mm lens supports constant speed zoom for slow, smooth zoom effects that can enhance cinematic expression but are difficult to achieve manually. Power Zoom can be controlled by the built-in levers on Sony NEX camcorders or by the integrated zoom lever on the lens.

Optical image stabilisation
Optical SteadyShot (OSS) allows you to take sharp images using shutter speeds up to 4 times slower than would normally be possible when shooting handheld. This enables sharper images in low light or when shooting at telephoto lengths. OSS, combined with Motion Blur Reduction mode and Handheld Twilight mode, will provide clear, detailed video images even using indoor ambient lighting.

Optical design
Five aspherical lens elements and extra-low dispersion glass produce sharp images with minimal aberration or distortion.
