The Sennheiser MZF 8000 II filter module adds a low-cut filter and a PAD to your MKH 8000 microphone, which is always a welcome addition when working on a film set or recording sound effects. The LPF has a fixed cutoff point at 16Hz that eliminates all subsonic frequencies from the sound, but it can also be set to 70Hz when you don't need the lowest frequencies or simply want to counteract the proximity effect when recording close-up.
