Matthews sandbags are available in different shapes and weights. They are used to secure the bases of lighting stand feet and set walls. Many are fitted with handles for hanging them on hooks or uprights. Some have two wings, allowing them to be draped over the feet of lighting stands.

Most are made from cordura nylon, some are vinyl-covered and are waterproof.

Some sandbag models are supplied empty, for convenience and economy. They can be filled with sand, or any type of weight you provide, and emptied for storage or transport.
