The KONA LHe Plus offers video professionals at all levels an affordable desktop I/O solution that makes no compromises on quality or essential features. The KONA LHe Plus supports HD/SD analogue and digital I/O for video and audio, offering maximum capability, simplifying the integration of analogue and digital signals into a single workflow and multiple output options to ensure delivery of required formats.
Versatile I/O
With support for 10-bit or 8-bit uncompressed video, the KONA LHE Plus features one input and two outputs that can be independently configured for HD or SD. The KONA LHe Plus also includes 2-channel AES digital audio, 8-channel embedded SDI digital audio, composite/S-video/SD/HD component video input/output, 2-channel balanced analogue audio input/output, genlock input and three BNCs that can be configured for analogue video input and output (HD or SD).
Workflow
Compatible with macOS, Windows and Linux, the KONA LHe Plus offers simple and cost-effective connectivity for a variety of workflows.
Unique analogue workflows
As the KONA LHe Plus supports 12-bit analogue HD component input and output, devices with analogue HD output, such as analogue VTRs and games consoles, can be connected for different workflows.
RS-422
A 9-pin RS-422 connection available on the included breakout cable or on the optional KL-Box-LH breakout box enables the KONA LHe Plus to take control of external devices for precise frame-accurate captures and transfers.
AJA hardware conversion
The KONA LHe Plus features 10-bit broadcast-quality HD to SD down conversion with motion compensation and 12-bit HD/SD component analogue output. The down converter enables the KONA LHe Plus to connect to analogue SD devices for output. This can be used to verify framing and colour for SD versions whilst working in full resolution HD in your application, ensuring appropriate quality for multi-format deliveries. As the conversion is hardware-based, it is permanently available - during capture or playback.
Extend your connectivity with KL-Box-LH
The optional KL-Box-LH breakout box allows you to easily integrate the KONA LHe Plus into rack environments for quick access to all video and audio connections. Additional connectivity includes digital AES/EBU BNC connectors and RCA audio monitoring jacks.
