Tiffen 77MM Black Pro-Mist 1/4
The Tiffen 77mm Black Pro-Mist 1/4 Filter helps to reduce highlight intensity whilst slightly reducing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and smoothing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or soft focus filters, Pro-Mist filters result in little loss of detail across the image. The 1/4 density offers more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/8, but less than the 1/2, whilst allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
