Tiffen 82mm Pro-Mist 1/2 Filter

The Tiffen 82mm Pro-Mist 1/2 Filter helps reduce the intensity of highlights whilst significantly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematography, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or softening filter, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. Density 1/2 provides more contrast and highlight reduction than 1/4, but less than 1, whilst producing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
