The new digital amplifiers of the DI series have been developed and manufactured in-house by Fohhn in Germany. At each stage of development, new intelligent technologies have been implemented. The DSP-controlled amplifiers operate at the highest level and guarantee maximum operational reliability, high power density and excellent sound. Since 2002, Fohhn has been developing high-quality and reliable digital electronic components that have been systematically integrated into the company's own product ranges. The DI series amplifiers represent 15 years of digital electronics expertise, with many customer requests fulfilled. Developed for mobile sound reinforcement applications and fixed installations, the amplifiers offer all essential functionalities as well as practically unlimited connectivity regarding audio signal inputs. Even if you opt now for an AES/EBU, Dante™, Optocore or Analogue option, you are not permanently committed: the optional input interfaces can be modified as required, customising your amplifier to suit the relevant digital or analogue network. The extensive DSP processing of inputs and outputs allows you to intelligently adapt your loudspeaker systems to the particular sound reinforcement situation and room acoustics. All DSP functions can be controlled in real time using FOHHN AUDIO SOFT. The DI-2.2000 has an output power of 2000W / 4 ohms per channel, four input channels and two output channels. It features a compact 2U / 19" housing and weighs only 9.4 kg. The amplifier operates extremely quietly and its fans are not used when idling.

Practically unlimited connectivity
The DI-2.2000 is available with different connection options. Input options include AES/EBU (terminal block or XLR), Dante™, Optocore or Analogue (XLR). For outputs, you can choose between terminal blocks and Speakon connectors. Depending on the sound reinforcement requirements, the optional input and output interface modules can be exchanged. The amplifier is supplied as standard with AES/EBU digital inputs and terminal blocks.
Innovative power electronics
At the heart of the DI-2.2000 is the high-performance digital power supply developed in-house. As with all amplifiers, it is largely responsible for the sound. It constantly analyses the supply voltage and processes it accordingly (power factor correction). The power supply gives the CLASS D amplifier enormous performance capacity of up to 4000 W within milliseconds and a peak duration of several seconds! Therefore, during live musical applications, the amplifier can perfectly reproduce the entire dynamic range across the entire audible frequency spectrum at all times. The result is a significant increase in available peak power over several seconds. Thanks to its integrated microprocessor, the power supply is equipped with measurement, monitoring and communication capabilities. Consequently, important factors such as temperature, supply voltage and capacity can be monitored and controlled accordingly.
Intelligent control – maximum reliability
Silent operation
The amplifier's fans are temperature-controlled and optimised for extremely quiet operation. When idling, the fans are not used (Auto Power Save function). The fan and filter foam can be cleaned manually, without tools.
