The new digital amplifiers of the DI series have been developed and manufactured in-house by Fohhn in Germany. At every stage of development, new intelligent technologies have been implemented. The DSP-controlled amplifiers operate at the highest level and guarantee maximum operational reliability, maximum power density and excellent sound. Since 2002, Fohhn has been developing high-quality and reliable digital electronic components that have been systematically integrated into the company's own product ranges. The DI series amplifiers represent 15 years of expertise in digital electronics, with many customer requests fulfilled. Developed for mobile sound reinforcement applications and fixed installations, the amplifiers offer all essential functionalities as well as practically unlimited connectivity in terms of audio signal inputs. Even if you now opt for an AES/EBU, Dante™, Optocore or Analogue option, you are not permanently committed: The optional input interfaces can be modified as required, customising your amplifier to suit the relevant digital or analogue network. The extensive DSP processing of inputs and outputs allows you to intelligently adapt your speaker systems to the particular sound reinforcement situation and room acoustics. All DSP functions can be controlled in real time using FOHHN AUDIO SOFT. The DI-4.1000 has an output power of 2000 W / 4 ohms per channel, four input channels and four output channels. It has a compact 2U / 19" housing and weighs only 9.4 kg. The amplifier operates extremely quietly and its fans are not used at idle.

Virtually unlimited connectivity
The DI-4.1000 is available with different connection options. Input options include AES/EBU (terminal block or XLR), Dante™, Optocore or Analogue (XLR). For outputs, you can choose between terminal blocks and Speakon connectors. Depending on sound reinforcement requirements, the optional input and output interface modules can be interchanged. The amplifier is supplied as standard with AES/EBU digital inputs and terminal blocks.
Innovative power electronics
Intelligent control – maximum reliability
The DI-4.1000 is equipped with highly efficient DSP technology. The integrated Fohhn Audio DSPs on each input and output channel include all essential audio tools such as 10-band parametric equaliser, delay, X-Over filter, phase, dynamics processor or tone generator. All settings can be saved as user presets and recalled in real time. Factory/performance presets are available for all Fohhn speakers. They ensure optimal speaker protection and guarantee the best possible sound performance for the power level. The amplifier is network-compatible and can be controlled and monitored remotely. Direct access to all presets and DSP functions is therefore guaranteed at all times. Up to 254 amplifiers can be centrally controlled in a network via FOHHN AUDIO SOFT. Transparent connection to all current multimedia control systems is also possible. An integrated power-on delay enables sequential (remote) power-up of multiple amplifiers connected in a rack. For larger installations and live sound applications involving multiple systems, this function considerably facilitates overall handling.
Quiet operation
The amplifier fans are temperature-controlled and optimised for extremely quiet operation. At idle, fans are not used (Auto Power Save function). The fan and filter foam can be cleaned manually, without tools.
