ASPEN-1616UX is a 16x16 matrix switcher for SDI signals up to 12G. It equalises the input signal and resynchronises the output signal to achieve signal range extension. ASPEN-1616UX is easy to use and control via the network using intuitive web pages and via RS-232 using a serial controller.

- High-performance matrix switcher — Switches 16 12G SDI inputs to 16 12G SDI outputs with maximum resolution of 4K@60Hz (4:2:2). Incorporates Kramer's equalisation and resynchronisation™ technology that reconstructs the digital signal to travel longer distances.
- HDTV compatible.
- Multi-rate SDI signals — Automatically adapts to data rates from 270 Mbps to 12 Gbps, accepts compliant SDI, HD-SDI, 3G HD-SDI, 6G and 12G SDI input signals with video resolution up to 4K@60Hz (4:2:2) 30bpp. Compliant with SMPTE 259M (SD-SDI), 292M (HD-SDI), 344M (ED-SDI), 424M (3G HD-SDI), ST-2081 (6G-SDI) and ST-2082 (12G-SDI) standards, it supports standard pass-through of embedded audio channels with auxiliary identifier and metadata information.
- Extended-range input extension — Input signal equalisation and output signal resynchronisation to achieve signal range extension. Using high-quality SDI coaxial cables, supports extension up to 300 m (984 feet) for SD signals; 200 m (656 feet) for HD 1.5G signals; 100 m (328 feet) for HD 3G and 6G signals; 80 m (260 feet) for 4K 12G signals. Note: Range depends on signal resolution and coaxial cable quality used. Range extension performance may vary when using coaxial cables that are not high quality.
- Clean genlock switching and versatility — Clean switching when sources are synchronised with the selected genlock input with a difference not exceeding two video lines. Versatile synchronisation using an analogue signal.
- Convenient and comprehensive control — Control the unit using intuitive built-in web pages via Ethernet or Protocol 3000 API commands via RS-232 serial communication transmitted from a PC, touch screen system or other serial controller. Stores 8 multiple switches as presets that can be recalled and executed as needed. Firmware update via built-in web pages.
- Compact and easy to install — 19" wide and only 4" deep housing for 1 unit rack mounting in a 1U rack space with included rack ears.
