Aja 3G-SDI to SMPTE ST 2110 IP Video and Audio Encoder
The IPT-10G2-SDI is designed to integrate traditional 3G-SDI video sources into an SMPTE ST 2110 IP video infrastructure.
The IPT-10G2-SDI receives baseband video plus up to 16 embedded audio channels via 3G-SDI, then formats the data for SMPTE ST 2110 output over 10 GigE. Associated audio from the video stream is extracted, synchronised and embedded into the SMPTE ST 2110 stream and also output on two RCA analogue audio channels.
2x 10 GigE SFP+ slots are provided, enabling redundancy protection with "hitless switching" (ST 2022-7) for critical broadcast environments.
The IPT-10G2-SDI transmits SMPTE ST 2110 essence from a 3G-SDI input source. Featuring two SFP+ slots for protection with "hitless switching" (ST 2022-7), its robust, fanless Mini-Converter design is ideal for use in a wide range of scenarios, from set to studio.
With new IP-based installations often requiring integration with traditional baseband sources, and existing 3G/1.5G-SDI routers often at maximum capacity whilst installations transition to IP, the IPT-10G2-SDI provides a solution to convert baseband camera, router or edit suite sources, then format and transmit them via IP to deliver this content to a variety of destinations.
The IPT-10G2-SDI offers two main methods of control. The Control LAN Ethernet port allows the Mini-Converter to be controlled from web browsers on any platform and REST clients. The mini-USB connector facilitates quick and simple initial network configuration and firmware updates.
All AJA Mini-Converters are supplied with a universal power supply which includes international connections for worldwide use.
AJA Mini-Converters are compact enough to be placed behind a monitor, at the back of a rack or directly on a camera mount. A locking power connector cannot be accidentally unplugged and an optional P-TAP power cable enables battery power in remote locations.
