Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/4 62mm Filter

The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/4 62mm filter reduces the intensity of highlights whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty photography. Unlike traditional diffusion or soft blur filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. Density 1/4 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than 1/8, but less than 1/2, whilst providing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
