Lynx 3 Gbit SDI Bidirectional Fibre Transceiver
The OBD 1810 is a bidirectional Optical Fibre to SDI transceiver that uses a single fibre link supplied in a compact standalone housing. It is a practical and economical solution for overcoming restrictions related to the distribution of uncompressed broadcast-quality video signals over long distances.
The OBD 1810 modules are supplied in pairs, a Type A and a Type B that work together in a WDM closed-loop application. Each module has an input and output electrical SDI connection and uses a single fibre link between the two.
Each channel is completely independent and can have different SDI video standards and formats. The modules automatically detect and resynchronise any 270 Mbit, 1.5 Gbit and 3 Gbit SDI source before conversion. The modules are fully compatible with 3 Gbit Level A and Level B formats.
