This redesigned Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens raises the bar for professional standard zoom performance. Additionally, two types of aspherical lenses are combined to help reduce spherical aberration across the entire image area and throughout the zoom range. A ring-type USM and high-speed CPU with optimized AF algorithms ensure silent and fast autofocus. The lens is built with improved dust and water sealing, while fluorine coatings on the front and rear lenses reduce fingerprints and smudges. A 9-blade circular aperture creates beautiful blurred backgrounds. A zoom lock lever locks the zoom position at the wide-angle position for safe transport when attached to an EOS DSLR camera with shoulder strap.
