Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM Lens

The Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM lens is a wide-angle zoom featuring a constant maximum aperture of f/4 to deliver consistent performance throughout the zoom range. The optical design incorporates three aspherical elements, including one large-diameter aspherical element, as well as two UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) elements to minimise chromatic aberrations and contribute to high sharpness and edge-to-edge resolution. A fluorine coating has also been applied to the front and rear surfaces of the lens to reduce flare and ghosting in order to maintain colour neutrality and image contrast.
To facilitate working in challenging lighting conditions, an optical image stabiliser has been integrated into the lens design to minimise the appearance of camera shake blur by up to four effective shutter speed steps. For fast, smooth, and near-silent autofocus performance, a ring-type USM (Ultrasonic Motor) AF motor is used and benefits from an internal focusing design to maintain the overall length of the lens during use. Real-time manual focus can also be used for fine focusing accuracy down to 28 cm throughout the zoom range.
When paired with an optional protective filter, this lens also features a dust- and water-resistant construction to allow use in challenging weather conditions.
