Sigma 351963 - 56 F1.4 DC DN Black MFT
A particularly elegant fixed focal length lens for portraits, the 56mm f/1.4 DC DN is part of Sigma's Contemporary series and is designed for Micro 4/3 mirrorless cameras. The lens is characterised by its bright maximum aperture of f/1.4, which is well suited for working in challenging lighting conditions and also offers better depth-of-field control to isolate subjects and work with selective focus techniques. The optical design uses two aspherical elements and one SLD element, which help to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations for greater sharpness and clarity. A Super Multi-Layer coating has also been applied to suppress stray reflections and ghosting for better contrast and colour accuracy when working in bright lighting conditions. Complementing the optics, a stepping AF motor suits both photo and video applications thanks to its fast, precise and near-silent performance.
. Portrait prime lens designed for Micro 4/3 mirrorless cameras, offering an equivalent focal length of 112 mm.
. The bright maximum aperture of f/1.4 excels in low-light conditions and also offers better depth-of-field control for selective focus effects.
. An SLD glass element reduces chromatic fringing and chromatic aberrations for greater clarity and improved colour accuracy.
. Two aspherical elements control distortion and spherical aberrations, delivering greater sharpness and more accurate rendering.
. A Super Multi-Layer coating has been applied to the lens elements to minimise stray reflections and ghosting and help produce images that are rich in contrast and colour-neutral, even in backlit conditions.
. A stepping AF motor benefits photographers and videographers with its fast, precise and near-silent performance.
. A nine-blade rounded diaphragm contributes to a magnificent bokeh quality.
. The bayonet mount is made of brass to ensure precision and durability. Additionally, a rubber seal is integrated into the mount design to make it dust- and splash-resistant.
